Although the amateur of the band, Peter has more than 30 years experience through his involvement with church music. He has twice led the worship team for the Havering Christian Festival at Hornchurch Stadium then Queens Theatre.
Peter has composed a full-length concept album The Magdalene, first recorded in 1989 - on multi-track cassette! A lengthened and updated Magdalene was released on CD in 2005. Both versions featured the authoritative narration of actor Geoffrey Palmer. In 2007 Peter was commissioned by the Ilford Choral Society to produce a choral version for them to perform for their 65th anniversary. In 1990 he collaborated with guitarist/songwriter Dave Waldon to write and record the album Believe it or Not which provided an unusual perspective on spiritual themes: Pete is a Christian and Dave a self-confessed agnostic, hence the title.
Peter also has been involved with amateur dramatics for 25 years, playing numerous character roles for Essex-based Am Dram groups. Over the last 12 years he has progressed into directing several Christmas musicals for Billericay Baptist Church. In 2005, he found himself fusing his love of music and drama to write, compose and direct an original Christmas musical Angel Squadron which was published the following year. This was followed by The Cool Yule Mule in 2008, which was also subsequently published. The shows have been performed at venues in the UK, Europe and the USA. In 2010 he completed a third musical Star Wise and also developed a lengthened version of Angel Squadron thus completing a trilogy of full-length, two-act Christmas shows.
In 2014, Peter released To Him Are All Things, a trilogy of worship songs.
Tokamak gives Peter the chance to play the music he loves most, improve his keyboard technique and learn from the professionals around him.
